A scratch on the DVD has made these two episodes largely unwatchable, but with the help of the Soap Opera Digest summary I have a pretty good idea of what’s occurring in them and I was able to assemble episode cast lists from what I was able to view.
December 27:
Having found Tyler playing with Casey’s cocaine, Cooper decides to take his son home with him, but reconsiders and offers to let him stay with Ally and Casey on the condition that Casey not be left alone with him. Ally and Casey agree to his terms.
Graham decides to take Alex off the kidnapping case because he’s too close to it, but Clay urges Alex to stick with it. Meanwhile, Kate begins having chest pains from the stress of the situation.
Left alone in the derelict church, Ava worries that she’s been left for dead. When Sandy suddenly runs into the church, she thinks she’s been saved, but Gilbert follows Sandy into the church and Ava realizes that her son has been kidnapped, too.
December 28:
Angie brings Kate to the hospital in order to run some tests because she’s been having chest pains. Ally, with Tyler in tow, comes to be with Kate. While Kate is being examined, Ally seeks Angie’s advice regarding “a friend” who has a drug problem. Angie warns her about the danger of street drugs and offers to talk to Ally’s “friend.”
Ava is upset with Gilbert for bringing Sandy, but Sandy tells her that it was his idea to come because he wanted to “save” her. When Gilbert leaves them alone, Ava questions Sandy about whether Gilbert hurt him and he tells her that Gilbert didn’t and that he taught him how to change a tire when they were stuck on the side of the road.
JJ, Heather, and Christopher are rattled by Sandy’s kidnapping. Stacey, Buck, Trucker, and Dinah Lee try to reassure them that Sandy will be brought home safe, but Dinah Lee herself is unsettled by the thought that they haven’t heard anything more about Ava or Sandy.
