Location: Outside Corinth, on the banks of a body of water that is interchangeably referred to as a lake and a river and on at least one occasion as the ocean. It’s surrounded by a wooded area.
The Tides is an old summer house belonging to the Aldens, which Cabot would use to entertain his mistresses. When Jeremy Hunter comes to town for a brief stay in 1991, Trisha arranges for the house to be opened so that he can stay there. Afterwards, Trisha and Trucker move in and Stacey and Trucker discover a hidden attic room, the entrance to which is hidden behind a wall, which they eventually learn was once used by Isabelle to conduct an affair with Tim Sullivan.
Though Trisha and Trucker separately move out of the Tides after splitting up in 1992, after they reconcile they renovate the house and move back in. Trucker remains there after Trisha’s “death” and eventually lives there with Dinah Lee until they move to Maine. After they leave town, the house is sold. During the time that Trucker lives there, Buck is a sporadic resident.
